If you are a foreigner and want to work in Nicaragua

You must apply for residency in the subcategory of migrant workers, which has a period of one full year. If you want to apply do not hesitate to contact us, the process is personal, we accompany you step by step and tell you the requirements. The required documents must be as indicated in these tips. 

All documents to be submitted must include:

a). Authenticated before a notary public.

b). When they come from abroad, they must be authenticated through consular channels or apostille.

c). In Spanish language, and/or accompanying official translation before an authorized notary. 

Among the documents to be presented are: Birth Certificates, Marriage Certificates, Criminal Record Certificates and Health Certificates, Diplomas of Professionals or Certificates of Studies Abroad, passport, identity card among others.

If you are a Self-Employed foreigner, you may apply for residency in the subcategory of self-employed. The requirements and documents vary depending on the status under which you apply. 

If you are an employee en Dependent relationship debes aplicar a la solicitud de residencia con la condición Uno (A TRABAJAR).

If you wish to acquire permanent residency:  

We will tell you what are the common requirements for obtaining permanent residency. In addition to other requirements, essentially you must have basic documents referred to: Original in good condition and photocopy of passport (valid for no less than six months). Nationals of CA-4 countries, in exceptional cases, may present original and photocopy of valid Identity Card; Two passport-size photographs (4½ inches high by 3 1⁄2 inches wide), white background, without glasses, hat, cap, ears and forehead uncovered; Birth certificate and naturalization certificate in case of having acquired another nationality, issued by competent authority of their country of origin, certificate of criminal record, health certificate. 

All documents issued by the competent authority of your country of origin or previous residence issued by the competent authority of the country of origin or residence for the last three years.

All documents must be in Spanish or with their official translation and duly apostilled or authenticated through consular channels, as applicable. 

In addition to other requirements that may be required, it is important to take into account that in exceptional cases, additional documentation may be requested in order to authorize or deny the application. If such documentation is not submitted within the established period, the proceedings will be archived and the citizen will have to complete the procedure again.
