Mr. Rodríguez has 19 years of professional experience, 10 of which he worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers Nicaragua until he became Senior Manager and leader of the legal and tax practice; during his professional life he has acquired experience in corporate secretarial, tax-accounting, trademarks and patents, labor, social security, criminal and administrative matters. This has allowed him to provide legal-tax advice to domestic and foreign clients in various economic sectors.

 

He is a professional with a high vocation for service, whose main motivation is to generate value for his clients through innovative ideas, proactivity and problem solving. This has allowed him to lead projects of high technical complexity, related to acquisitions of ongoing businesses, mergers, corporate reorganizations, tax planning and restructuring, and tax and legal due diligence, all of them carried out under the common denominator of maximizing benefits at the lowest legal and tax risk. 

In Aczalaw Erwin has a team of specialists that allow him to provide personalized attention aimed at the protection and generation of business, which together with his extensive professional experience, allows him to advise in a timely and efficient manner in review processes and tax compliance, defense of clients in administrative tax proceedings, as well as the preparation of resources in the jurisdictional route both at the level of appeals for protection and through the filing of lawsuits before the administrative litigation, the latter before the Supreme Court of Justice of Nicaragua.

 

In his professional career, Erwin has also had the opportunity to interact actively on behalf of his clients and in conjunction with regulatory authorities, in connection with the enactment of special laws, legal provisions, administrative procedures, tax exemption procedures, tax refunds and/or compensation, mediation procedures and technical roundtables in tax and municipal administrative processes. 

 

Likewise, in order to contribute to the new generations of professionals, he has been invited to actively participate as an instructor and professor in several universities in Nicaragua, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in legal-tax matters.
